The Space Quest community frequently gathers via Internet Relay Chat (IRC), to discuss such issues as Roger's women, Sierra, or if Pancakes are better with Syrup or Honey ;)
To join in the fun and sillyness, we suggest that you either download an IRC client, such as mIRC, or use the web gateway below. Using an IRC client will give the the best experience while in the chatroom, and allow features (such as color), not found in the web-gateway.
To connect, type:
/server irc.freenode.net
/join #sq
Note that this server has just changed names. It is still the same network as OpenProjects.
If you cannot download an IRC client at the current time, please feel free to either of these provided Web Options.
- Sq7.org provides a Java Applet which accesses the #sq server. This is the recomended way to access the #sq channel without installing software.
- Sq7.org also provides a CGI Version, which runs using only your web browser. This is the compatible with the most computers, but puts strain on the SQ7 server, as well as occasionally timing out, leaving you disconnected.
